Septic FAQ

For your convenience, our most common customer questions are answered right here.

Q: How do I know my septic system is failing?

A: As much as we love green grass, it is not always a good thing. One of the primary clues of a septic issue is excessively green and tall grass in areas on the lawn as well as some areas dying off.

Other clues include:

  • Indentations or soft areas on lawn
  • Standing water or soggy spots on lawn
  • Inside the house, you may experience slow flushing or draining, foul odors or a back up into the home.

Q: How much will my septic cost?

A: Because of the wide range of situations, costs can vary greatly. The first step is a free estimate from us based on a Q&A session with you. However, we will provide you with a clear outline of costs far ahead of any commitment.

We offer this advice as you do your research: Beware of companies that give you a quick estimate over the phone without a plan or site review. This results in a highly inaccurate estimate.

Q: How long will the process take?

A: There are many steps involved in the process, including testing, designing, planning, installation, inspections and more. Typically, from start to finish, the entire process can be 3-6 weeks. Keep in mind that outside factors, such as inspections and permits may impact the schedule. However, the actual disruption of your yard averages one week.
